7.Organizational Structure of the Building Infrastructure

The organizational structure of the entity should be able to support both the collection of energy data through a measurement program and the necessary calculations and reporting as described in the above Components. This structure will draw executives from the Technical Service and the Financial Department of public entities/ organizations, which are involved in the recording and management of the buildings’ energy consumptions. They constitute an Energy Team, and its members are the Energy Managers of the entity’s buildings. The inclusion of a Building Energy Manager in the Organizational Structure of a Public Body contributes the building’s effective energy management and the documented planning of maintenance and energy upgrading actions of public buildings.
