4.Base Energy Consumption

In a public building infrastructure, there are static factors that do not affect energy consumption trends and should be identified, in order to avoid overlapping, misleading effects and in relation to the choice of the relevant variables, and to record any changes that could affect energy consumption trends. Such factors are the existence of security lighting and outside the building’s operation hours. All these factors determine the basic energy consumption of an infrastructure that exists independently of its operation and must be taken into account in the energy consumption forecasting models that arise and are used.
