The energy flows concern the use of the various forms of energy in the under study building infrastructure. The forms of energy used (electricity, natural gas, heating oil, solar, etc.) are identified, the points where these can be measured are determined, as well as the use of each one. Namely, this is an attempt to estimate the percentage of electricity consumed for lighting, movement (e.g., lifts), air conditioning / ventilation, office equipment (PCs, printers, etc.) etc. Similarly, for fuels or solar energy, the percentage used for space heating, the production of HDW or for other applications requiring heat (e.g., cooking) is determined. The aim is to obtain the most detailed energy balance possible for the limits set for the infrastructure in question.
Critical additional parameters are the forms of energy consumed in infrastructure, the points where they can be measured, the individual uses of each form of energy and calculates the contribution of each use to the total consumption (energy balance).
